Je Tsongkhapa ( 1357-1419) was such a great master. He is the founder of the Geluk School of Tibetan Buddhism. He is so great, very vast. Try to read his lifestory.
Je Tsongkhapa was already a Buddhist scholar, but he also did so much practice. It is said that in that life alone, he completed 3.5 million full-body prostrations. 100,000 times for each of the 35 Confessional Buddhas.
He did so many prostrations on top of a big, flat stone that the surface bore the marks of his hands and feet. Through that, and other activities, he showed how important the preliminary practices are.
Through such merit, he was able to expound the Buddha’s teachings greatly and widely. His students were also blessed in learning and realization through his vast accumulation of merit. His lineage was protected and established well, filled with great masters and practitioners, which is the present-day Geluk School.
