Given to some temple members before introducing a topic

When Buddha Shakyamuni was about to give the teaching, specifically the second sermon in Vulture Peak, Ragjir (about Emptiness), he prepared his throne by himself. He did not do this for himself, but for the teaching. That means the teaching is very very very important, very special. That is why, he himself respected the teaching.
When people think, Buddha Shakyamuni’s teaching was made by himself, no.
Our Buddhism, and all its teachings, in Chinese we call Da Zang Jing (大藏經), in Tibetan we call Kangyur, almost 200 volumes, what they call 84,000 sections of Buddhism, and all the Buddhist teachings of the three times (past, present and future), it wasn’t only Buddha Shakyamuni who taught it, as a human in the human realm. They have been taught in past times, so many Buddhas’ times in the past.
All other Buddhas have taught these teachings. Yet, the Buddhist teachings are very rare to happen.
Why important? Buddha’s teachings talk about the nature, the reality of everything. So, it talks about the truth. That is why it is to be respected. It is respectable. How much truth it contains, that much importance and respect to give to it.
So, whenever we attend any teaching or class, remember your motivation or attitude, as much as you can, motivation should be, at least, good.
